Check out our 'Hallwood Farm Recipes' Our new Van To ensure our vegetables are as fresh as possible we have bought a chiller van and have built a cold store on the farm. This will mean that we can quickly reduce the ‘field heat’ from the produce soon after it is harvested which will significantly improve its shelf life. The new chiller van has recently been sign written with our new logo and images of the produce and the farm– and very smart it looks too, even if we do say so ourselves. We were very fortunate to be able to gain some grant aid towards the cost of these facilities via the DEFRA ‘Rural Enterprise Scheme’ The Coming Season Apart from all the types of vegetables grown for the 2007 harvest we have some new ones to add for this season coming: Parsnip Turnips Romanesque (Green cauliflower) Jerusalem Artichokes Celeriac Red Cabbage Pink Fir Apple Potatoes Tomatoes & Peppers (hopefully) If you have any requests please let us know!
