Check out our 'Hallwood Farm Recipes' Our new Van To ensure our vegetables are as fresh as possible we have bought a chiller van and have built a cold store on the farm. This will mean that we can quickly reduce the ‘field heat’ from the produce soon after it is harvested which will significantly improve its shelf life. The new chiller van has recently been sign written with our new logo and images of the produce and the farm– and very smart it looks too, even if we do say so ourselves. We were very fortunate to be able to gain some grant aid towards the cost of these facilities via the DEFRA ‘Rural Enterprise Scheme’ Rosemoor Apple Day On Sunday 12th October in glorious conditions we displayed our wares to a large audience at Rosemoor's flagship event. We also took along a couple of our piglets to demonstrate their ability to stuff down windfall apples which they did to great effect as well as doing an excellent job at ploughing up the grass in between the trees!!
