Hallwood Meat

We rear cattle, sheep and pigs here at Hallwood. Our herd sizes are small and our welfare standards high.
Endangered heritage pig breeds such as British Saddleback and Tamworth provide succulent flavoursome meat. Polled Dorset sheep which unusually have the ability to lamb at any time of year provide us with a steady trickle of ‘milk lamb’ and flavoursome ‘second season’ lamb.

We keep Jersey cross cattle, a breed popular in America and New Zealand but, not generally kept here in the UK due to poor meat yield. The meat is scientifically the most tender of all breeds, it has a degree of yellow low cholesterol intramuscular fat adding flavour whilst self basting.
We are happy to supply relatively small parcels of meat – you don’t have to commit to a large box full. Just contact us if you would like to be put on our meat list
